About Organic Tourist Farm Gradišnik
The Organic Tourist Farm Gradišnik is located in the peaceful village of Jamnica above Prevalje in Carinthia, at approximately 830 metres above sea level, where beautiful views open up over the surrounding peaks, forests, and green valleys. Here, life unfolds in close connection with nature, in the rhythm of the seasons and with a sense of balance that modern people often long for.
The Organic tourist farm has been passed down from generation to generation for centuries. Its long-standing presence is also reflected in the old granary, built around 1800, which today remains an important symbol of the homestead and also serves as the inspiration for its logo. The farm belongs to the so-called celk farms – characteristic high-altitude farms where fields, meadows, forests, and farm buildings are connected into one whole. This way of farming enables a close bond with nature and encourages self-sufficiency and a sustainable way of life.
In 2014, the farm entered organic certification, and a year later it began developing its tourist activity. Today, it combines tradition with a modern approach to staying in nature.
We farm without mineral fertilisers or plant protection products and follow the natural cycle of soil, plants, and animals. Most of the food we serve our guests is produced either on the farm or in the local area.

Organic and Sustainable
Tourist Farm Gradišnik is energy-sustainable – we use biomass for heating, while electricity is provided by a solar power plant.
Wastewater is treated in a biological treatment plant, and natural drinking water from a spring in the nearby forest supplies the homestead.

Tourist farm Gradišnik is home to cows with calves, pigs, chickens, cats, and a dog named Ofelija, all of which create the lively and authentic rhythm of the homestead. Meadows rich in botanical diversity, an orchard with old varieties, and the forests surrounding the farm offer space for exploration, relaxation, and contact with nature.
Today, Tourist Farm Gradišnik is not only a place to stay, but a place of experiences – where tradition intertwines with nature, and hospitality meets a feeling of home. Here, time seems to stand still for a moment.
